Seven animated industrial nightscapes are extended and reconstructed into a post-urban dreamland. Most of the imagery was photographed from the front window of my Illinois Street studio. The remaining sequences were taken within a few blocks, along a short stretch of this semi-abandon, waterfront street. These extra-panoramic portraits are filled with a serene sense of wonder and mystery. Devoid of people, the urban features - flickering lights, impossible buildings, silent cranes - assume a life of their own. The soundtrack, composed from altered recordings of the same locations, is similarly surreal and distanced.
